Create compartmentation for stairs

When creating compartmentation for stairs, the slope for the object needs to follow the bottom point of the staircase. This is easiest to do when working with floors.

  1. Start by drawing a floor that has somewhat of the same size of the stairs, start with one step up from the bottom. (Architecture -> Create Floors)

Select in the type selected a floor with the correct requirement, or at least same colour. There are floors with pre-set materials set to them which makes it easier.
  2. Finish the sketch, and the floor is still selected. Use add split lines to the floor, this can be done later also. Add a line on each slop that is necessary, in this case would be on top / the beginning of the landing.
  3. Use the selection box to crop the 3D view around the stair and newly created floor. Use Modify Sub Elements to adjust the boundaries of the slab.

Edit the boundary to adjust the compartmentation for the stair, and don't forget to adjust the split lines/points.

  4. Edit the type and duplicate the Type. Then edit the thickness of the structure.
  5. Set a thinner, in this case, it will be set to 10mm.
  6. Add a value on FireReq_FireRatingFloor:

Note that floors that contains NV_ will be hidden in the Naviate Bimfire template. Temporarelly disable the view filter so see the split lines etc.
