Naviate Core has moved to Accelerate !

5 min. readlast update: 01.15.2024

The latest release of Naviate Accelerate 2024.3.1 now includes the Naviate Core commands and features.

During the merging of Naviate Core and Naviate Accelerate there were 3 types of actions that occurred; we will classify them as the following: migrated, merged, or replaced

The first, migrated, is unique features that existed in Core but did not exist in Accelerate, these were migrated from Core to Accelerate exactly as they were.

The second, merged, are features with similar functionality in both Core and Accelerate, these commands were re-designed and the functionality from both features were merged into a new feature.

The third, replace, are features that were exactly the same in Naviate Core and in Naviate Accelerate, in this instance the Naviate Accelerate command remained and replaced the Naviate Core command which was not migrated.

You can see where the BIMrx Core features are in the Naviate Accelerate 2023 toolbar here

The Table below will provide an overview of what happened with each Core feature.

The Naviate Accelerate Quick Filter Elements feature allows user to quickly select elements based on either the Naviate filters created using the Filter Elements feature, Revit Saved Selections, or the newest additions, Revit rule-based filters.

The BIMrx Core Filter select allowed users to select, select & hide, or select & isolate elements based on Revit rule-based filters. This has now been integrated into the Naviate Accelerate Quick Filter Elements feature.

The Naviate Accelerate Scope Box Synchronizer allows users to import and synchronize scope boxes from linked models. Users can easily view all scope boxes in a linked model, identify the status of a scope box; if it matches the link, if its in a different position, if its missing, or if its pinned.

The Naviate Scope Box Synchronizer is a great improvement to the functionality from the BIMrx Scope Box Manager and provides even more features for managing scope boxes between our Revit models and Revit links.

The Naviate Accelerate Publish feature enable you to print documents and export to DWG, IFC, NWC, and PDF files and easily reuse the same settings the next time you need to publish the same views or sheets.

The Publish feature uses Revit’s internal print and export settings, enabling you to print and export exactly the same way you would normally export from Revit. It also allows you to configure how files will be named using parameters and prefix & suffix values for print and dwg export, and editing name at export.

You can also add any number of Print or Export settings in one configuration, for example add multiple print settings for different scales.

The new Naviate Accelerate Revision Manager takes the best features from the BIMrx Revision Manager and the previous Naviate Accelerate Apply Revision on Sheet and combines them to the new feature.

Users are able too see all sheets in the model in a tree view format that mimics the Revit model’s project browser organization to make it easy to find sheets. Users can preselect sheets in the project browser, then select to run the Revision Manager, and sheets will be selected in the Naviate Revision Manager UI.

Users can then add/remove revisions on sheet, create new Revit revision in the project, modify Revit Revision parameters, create a View/Sheet set of selected sheets, export all sheets to an excel revision schedule and roundtrip changes back into the model from Excel.

The new Naviate Accelerate Print Set Manager Manager allows users to manager their Revit View/Sheet sets in the project. Users can add/remove views and sheets, save, save as, rename, or delete their Revit view/Sheet sets.

Match Parameter Values allows you to easily copy values of selected parameters from one element to other elements in project.

There is also a separate tool " Match Parameter Values from Link" that allows you to pick host element from a linked file in your project. Tool supports two working modes, Multiple selection and Picking mode. Users can choose from either instance or type parameters as well.

The new Advanced Parameter Manager in Naviate Accelerate allows user to see all shared parameters across there current Revit model, shared parameter file, and linked Revit models.

Users can batch create shared parameters from either a shared parameter file, a linked Revit model, or from the Advanced Parameter Manager UI. Users can also create shared parameters from a shared parameter file to families loaded in the current Revit model.

The Naviate Accelerate Combine Parameter Values features is used as a parameter copier. It is able to copy information on all elements within a category - from instance to instance, type to type or type to instance.

It's also able to combine information from several parameters into one and add prefixes and suffixes to each parameter copied. A setting can also be saved and easily reused again later. The Combine Parameters window is divided into few sections with an intended left to right workflow.

The new addition brought from the BIMrx Advanced Parameter Manager is the ability to access the Revit database (DB) properties and use them within the combine parameters features.

Users can now select to transfer data from the DB properties to another parameter, and combine the DB properties with other instance or type parameters.
