Naviate for Civil 3D Licensing Changes

2 min. readlast update: 11.28.2024

With the release of Naviate for Civil 2025.2 in november 2024, the licensing system for Naviate has been updated. To ensure uninterrupted access to Naviate, it is crucial that you take action no matter what version you are using.

Depending on what version of Naviate you are using today, there are different ways forward. To check what version of Naviate you are using, use NVABOUT inside the program.

If you are using version 2022, 2023 or 2024

These versions all use a version of our cloud licensing system that will become obsolete. You need to update to the latest Naviate-version for the year you are on. This update removes a dependency on a third-party vendor, which may be discontinued at an uncertain date.

The installation media for 2023.22 and 2024.12 are available on Naviate.com/Download

(note that 2022.32 is not available as of 27 november 2024, but will be available shortly.)

If you are using version 2021.22 or 2021.23

These two versions are using a version of our cloud licensing system that will become obsolete. There will not be an update available to you.

To keep using 2021, you need to install Naviate for Civil 3D 2021.13 which uses the FlexLM-system, and then create a new license file before end of april 2025.

If you are using any 2020-version, or 2021.13 or earlier

You are using the FlexLM-system which will be shut down from our side. This means that after april 2025 you will not be able to create a license file.

You can create a new license file as long as you do it before end of april 2025, this file will work for 18 months. After that the license will stop working.
