With Naviate for Civil 3D 2024.2 we released a Profile Setup tool to help user combine their own profile with Naviates profile.
When installing Naviate for Civil 3D 2024.2 (or 2023.12 / 2022.22) on the page where you choose what language pack to install, there is also the option to install Profile Configuration Tool. You can also select not to create the default Naviate desktop shortcuts. This is useful if you intend to combine the Naviate startup with your own, and do not intend to start Naviate from the default Naviate icon.
If you have chosen to install Profile Configuration Tool then launch Civil 3D from any Civil 3D icon available and you will find a Naviate tab loaded with the Profile Setup command.
When launching Profile Setup, you see the search paths to Naviates required Support, Assembly and Language folder. You can choose to activate the Tool Palettes (for NOR, FIN and SWE) as well as set a default template.
Use Configure Current Profile if you want to add the Naviate start up with the active profile, it is recommended to create a backup profile just in case. Or use Create New Profile if you want to create a specific Naviate profile, and optionally you can create a Desktop shortcut for the new profile.
When done, click OK and Naviate will launch with the settings you selected.
Under Advanced settings you can set up Shared folders for Support, Assembly and Subassemblies - this is useful if you want to have some files and settings in shared locations with colleagues or project members.
