  1. Make sure that the parameters the specialist have sent have been loaded into the project. Read more about that here.
  2. Have the receiver installed, download here:
    1. Revit 2021
    2. Revit 2022
    3. Revit 2023
    4. Revit 2024
  3. The receiver will appear under Add-in tab, this is the tool which will pull the data from the specialist model.
  4. In the drop-down, choose the specialist model and press import. This will load the data defined in their Import Mapping onto the objects in the model.

    Note
: The software will own all elements in the imported category when importing. Make sure to be alone in the model before importing.

Common issues:

  1. If there are two versions of NaviateBImport20XX is installed, it will not work. Make sure only one version is installed. (the version numbers in the screen shot can be ignored. Install latest version from the top of this article to make sure the latest version is installed.)
  2. It's doesn't import any data and just close the import dialoge. This is a known bug in 2024 January update. What has happened is that the specialist hasn't defined Import Mappings in their model. The dialogue which should prompt the user doesn't work properly.
