Naviate 2021.1.7 - Couldn't find license for Naviate

If you start Revit with Naviate 2021.1.7 version and you do not receive a license for your Naviate and the following error message appears.

This message appears because the user has another Add-in installed that loads an old version of System.Text.Json.dll.

Solution

Update the other Add-ins to the latest version. It may be that an Add-in does not have an update that uses a later version of System.Text.Json.dll in which case the Add-in must be disabled.

Alternative solution

Rename the Naviate Add-in files under C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2021
so that they start with _ (_Naviate) this changes so that Naviate is loaded first from the add-in folder and can then use the correct version of System.Text.Json.dll.

If this method is used, remember to rename the folders to their original names before you install an update of Naviate.
