Naviate MEP and Fabrication are now available for Revit 2021 through 2026

We are pleased to inform you that with the release of Naviate MEP and Fabrication version 3.11, it also is now compatible from Revit 2021 through 2026. Please refer to the install/uninstall steps below for the best experience when installing version 3.11.

Installation of Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication v3.11

Prerequisites:

·        All instances of Revit must be closed before running the msi installer of Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication.

·        Uninstall previous versions of Naviate MEP, Fabrication, and Core. See “General Notes regarding v3.11 installation” below for more information.

·        Delete old versions of Naviate dll’s. More information can be found below.

 

The 3.11 installer (click here for link to download) comes with the following Options to install:

-          Naviate MEP for Revit 2021 – 2026

-          Naviate Fabrication for Revit 2021 – 2026

-          Naviate Core for Revit 2019 – 2022

-          NOTE: Naviate Accelerate can be installed with a separate installer for each Revit version.

o   2022

o   2023 – This version includes all Core functionality

o   2024 – This version includes all Core functionality

o   2025 – This version includes all Core functionality

o   2026 – This version includes all Core functionality

 

Steps for Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication installation

After downloading the Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication - V 3.11.msi file to your machine, double click the .msi. Launching the .msi opens up the Setup Wizard dialog. 

1.       Click Next to continue; click Cancel to exit the Setup Wizard.

2.       Please read the following End-User License Agreement carefully. 

a.       Click the checkbox to accept the terms in the License Agreement; click Next to continue:

3.       In the Custom Setup, you have the option to decide which version(s) of Revit you would like Naviate installed. 

a.       Click the checkbox next to each version of Revit to remove or add from the installation; click Next to continue.

b.       Alternatively click the Reset button. This will automatically identify which versions of Revit on your machine Naviate can be installed for.

c.      

d.       Naviate AI – new in 3.11! 

    • With the v3.11 .msi installer, there is a new feature “Naviate AI” listed in the Custom Setup step of installation. See aboveNote: v3.11.2 installer will now default “Naviate AI” set to OFF. This is a new option to enable or disable all AI features in Naviate:
    • If checked ON or enabled
      • The Generate with AI button will appear in the [N] MEP/Fabrication > Data Flow > Scripts dialog.
      • Naviate AI Assistant will be ACTIVE in the [N] Accelerate
    • If unchecked or disabled
      • The Generate with AI button will NOT appear in the [N] MEP/Fabrication > Data Flow > Scripts dialog.
      • Naviate AI Assistant will be INACTIVE in the [N] Accelerate
    • Note: After initial installation of v3.11, the Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication installer only has the ability to turn AI OFF for all Naviate productsFor exampleif ‘Naviate AI’ is unchecked in the Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication Custom Setup, it will turn OFF AI features in the installed [N] Accelerate. 
    • After initial installation of a v3.11 Naviate Core.MEP.Fabricationthere are three (3) ways to modify Naviate to enable Naviate AI from OFF to ON:
      • Modify ‘AIFeatures’ in the Registry Editor
        • In the Windows Task Bar, search for “Registry Editor.
        • Under Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE, navigate to Symetri > Naviate > Revit 202X > Shared 
        • Right-click AIFeatures and select Modify.
        • Change the Value Data field to “1”.
        • Repeat Step b. through d. for other desired Revit versions.
        • AIFeatures for Naviate are now turned ON, meaning any Naviate commands with AI will now be enabled.

      • For Revit versions 2025 and 2026, run the Naviate Accelerate installer and enable ON the feature “AI-Powered Features” during Custom Setup. See image below. Note: Custom Setup is available in the following Accelerate versions:

        • Naviate Accelerate 2025 v26.2.0 and forward

        • Naviate Accelerate 2026 v26.2.0 and forward

        • With the feature “AI-Powered Features” enabled ON in Custom Setup, the following AI commands will be active as of the 3.11 release:

          • Naviate Accelerate > Naviate AI Assistant will be turned ON.

          • The Generate with AI button will be active and appear in the [N] MEP/Fabrication > Data Flow > Scripts dialog  

 

      • Delete the ‘Shared’ folder for all Revit versions in Symetri > Naviate > Revit 202X and rerun the msi.

        • In the Windows Task Bar, search for “Registry Editor”.

        • Under Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE, navigate to Symetri > Naviate > Revit 202X > Shared 

        • Delete the ‘Shared’ folder for any Revit versions.

        • Rerun the Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication - V 3.11.X.msi

        • Check the ‘Naviate AI’ feature ON at the Custom Setup window.

        • AIFeatures for Naviate are now turned ON, meaning any Naviate commands with AI will now be enabled.

4.       User Account Control prompt – your machine may ask for permission to proceed in the installation. Click Yes to continue the installation process.

5.       If there are any active sessions of Revit open, user will get the following pop up, prompting to close Revit:

6.       Files will be copied onto the machine. Click Cancel to cancel the installation process.

7.       Installation is complete. Click Finish to exit the Setup Wizard. Naviate is now officially installed on your machine.

Installation of the latest version of Naviate Accelerate

Before or after installing Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication v3.11, it is recommended to download and install/update to the latest version of Naviate Accelerate. The most up-to-date installers can be found at https://www.naviate.com/downloads/

 

 

General Notes regarding v3.11 installation

Uninstall Previous Versions

Before installing Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication v3.11, it is recommended to uninstall the following applications.  Search for these applications in “Add or Remove Programs” and please uninstall. 

-          Naviate Core.MEP.Fabrication – any previous version

-          Naviate MEP 2023, 2024, and 2025

-          Naviate Fabrication 2023 and 2024

-          Naviate Help 2023 and 2024

-          Naviate Accelerate 2023 and 2024

Delete old versions of Naviate dll’s

It is recommended to delete any obsolete/discontinued .dll files located in the Symetri Program Files folder. Please see the steps below along with screenshot, indicating which files to delete on your machine.

 

  1. Windows Explorer - navigate to C:\Program Files\Symetri\Naviate\Revit 2023\Dll
  2. Delete .dll files that begin with "NaviateFA" or "NaviateMP".
  3. If files exist at the path C:\Program Files\Symetri\Naviate\Revit 2024\Dll, repeat Step 1 for the 2024 path.
